想定質問

Do you think humans should learn more from nature when developing new technologies?

回答

Yes, I do. Humans and other living things can benefit from each other. Animals and plants have become optimized for survival through evolution. This means that they have developed efficient ways to survive. By using these adaptations as models, we can save ourselves the trouble of developing new technologies completely from scratch. This may also help us create technology in a relatively environmentally friendly way. At the same time, research can bring animals and plants that might otherwise receive little attention into the spotlight. As a result, people may become more willing to protect them. Such protection can preserve genetic diversity and help these species continue to adapt and evolve in response to changing environments.
